I don't want it popping up all the time over my phone.

If you want to turn off the application or service, go to Settings > Applications then switch to the All tab. Scroll down until you see the application you need and tap on it. Once you are in the administration interface, tap on Force Stop and Disable. The application will be turned off and disabled until you start it again using the same procedure.

I installed the Linksys WRT54GS on another computer, set up the network and then I changed my computer. I want the new computer as the control for the network. Can I do this without setting up the network again?

Yes, you can do this without setting up the network. Just install the software and all the settings will be detected and used again. There is no need to set up the network again.

It's possible that the version on your CD was not compatible with your operating system. Try to install the latest version of the software from its official website and it will work.
